About me

I started writing software in 1996 and moved into US healthcare in 2005. Since then I've worked on both sides of the product: gathering requirements with billing teams and clinicians, and writing the Java code that runs it. I also spent five years as an RCM manager, so I know the billing work from the inside.

I've built practice management and billing systems, EMR modules, HL7 lab interfaces and EDI transactions, and helped products through CCHIT, Meaningful Use and Surescripts certification. I write about all of it on my blog.

I was also recognised by the ZK framework team as a community contributor.

“I found Senthil through his blog, and asked him to help develop EDI claim integration flows. Senthil with his immense technical knowledge and strong health care background architected and developed an end to end solution at such an accelerated pace, which was pivotal to meet our timelines. The EDI tools that he brings to the table are instant accelerators that jump-start the integration. He is a health care SME, architect, developer, tester — a rare find! His customer focus, dedication and humility are truly inspiring.”

“Several years ago, Senthil developed a system for me that converts EDI files into tab-delimited files for my software business. Development of this system required expertise in EDI, as well as proficiency in software development. The system worked perfectly upon implementation. I am still using it today. Not once has the system ever failed. I have gotten to know Senthil personally over the last few years, and trust him completely. I view him as an important resource for our medical billing software business, and look forward to working with him again.”
